Why should you care?
La Tagliata will focus on a single main course. For the meat eaters there’s the signature tagliata – “thinly sliced steak served with Parmesan, cherry tomatoes and rocket, served with rosemary roasted potatoes or patate del pastore (slowly cooked potatoes in garlic and stock).” And if you’re after the vegetarian option, there will be baked Scamorza – “an Italian cheese similar to mozzarella”.

Why should you care?
The folk behind this bar are Chris Edwards and Dave Tregenza who have worked at the Adam St private members club, the Baltic, Northbank restaurant and drake & Morgan. Fresh cocktails using local, seasonal & homegrown ingredients will live alongside a weekly changing menu of seasonal snacks such as terrines, tartares & carpaccios designed to match with the drinks.

The Alchemist

Why should you care?
The Alchemist makes a move from Manchester and Leeds into the City. It’s an all-day restaurant and bar (big too, with space for over 150). Expect experimental cocktails and an eclectic all-day menu. Soft launch until September 6th – 50% off food. Find out more.

In a nutshell: High-end burgers
Where is it?

Why should you care?
This aims to do for burgers what the nearby Bubbledogs did for hot dogs. Expect Wagyu and foie gras on the menu.
